PRODUCTION DESCRIPTIONS

Take a tumble down the rabbit hole and join Alice in her adventures in Wonderland; filled with mayhem, dancing and lots of fun. The fantastical story we all love…but with a bit of a twist.

Please bring a headshot photograph of yourself along to your audition. You will be required to sign in upon on arrival and be allocated with an audition number.

Audition Timeslots:

  • Dancers: 14:45 – 15:45. A simple piece of movement will be taught to you to perform on the day.
  • Ensemble (11yrs – 15yrs): 16:00 – 17:30. Please prepare any well known Disney song for your audition.
  • Leads: 17:45 – 18:45. Please see below regarding what to prepare.

Characters and what to prepare:

Ensemble:

(ages 11 – 15). Please prepare any well known Disney song for your audition.

Leads:

Alice: (Female. age 12 – 15) An opinionated but well-mannered girl. Prepare the song “Walrus and the Carpenter” by Danny Kaye

Miss Oliver/Hatter: (Female. ages 25+) An overly strict school teacher as Miss Oliver. A free-spirited, fast-talking artist as Hatter. Prepare “The Mob Song” from Disney’s animated ‘The Beauty and The Beast’.

Dormouse: (Any. Age 11-15) A swash-buckling swords-person with a loud bark.

>March Hare: (Any. Age 11-15) A manic, energetic Hare.

King William: (Male. Age 25+) A businessman stopping at nothing to reach his goal of financial success. Prepare “I’ll make a man out of you” from the Animated ‘Mulan’

Richard: (Male. Age 11-15) King William’s main soldier and secretary. Prepare a joke to tell as well as “Gaston song” from the Live-action version of ‘The Beauty and The Beast’.

Cheshire Cat: (male. 15+) A suave, charming voice.

Tweedledum: (Any. Age 11-15) An energetic but slightly dimwitted Tweedle.

Tweedledee: (Any. Age 11-15) An energetic partner in mischief to Tweedledum.

Absolem: (Any. Age 11 – 15) A wise, guiding figure to Alice.
