Winston Gelderbloem

Winston is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Medium Degree at AFDA in Cape Town. His passion for theatre and performing arts began with extra mural Drama Society shows in high school, and grew when taking part in several ATKV Tienertoneelfees productions in the later years of his high school career.

Winston first became involved at the Playhouse when he saw a Facebook audition advert for the production Absurd Person Singular (2018). He describes the theatre as warm and friendly with enthusiastic spirit and he has not only made many friends, but also some role-models that have sharpened his craft of acting and directing.

Winston’s future plans include starting his own production company in both film and theatre genres. His main goals are to win a Tony Award, an Oscar award, and an Emmy award for writing, directing or acting.
